Thank you for your letter of 6th August, which was a thoughtful one. However, I must say to you that as a result of my experience both prosecuting and defending derugs cases over many years in courts in the Midlands, and other experiences in my work as an M.P. and elswhere, I am firmly against the legalisation of cannabis.
